What is KicStart™ VLCD

KicStart™ VLCD is a complete meal in the form of a shake or soup. By replacing a normal meal with a KicStart™ VLCD, a bigger reduction in the total kilojoules (or calories) can be achieved than could be normally achieved with a self prepared meal. This significant reduction in the total kilojoules (or calories) helps accelerate or "kick start" the initial weight loss whilst satisfying hunger and maintaining the essential intake of vitamins, minerals, electrolytes and trace elements.

Soups

To satisfy any taste and to keep things interesting, use the Pumpkin & Herb OR the new Creamy Chicken Flavoured KicStart™ Soup as a base and try adding one of the following:

>>> Free Food vegetables or,

>>> Fresh herbs and pepper to taste or ,

>>> Curry powder to taste or,

>>> Chilli paste, powder or flakes

TIP - shake your KicStart™ powder soup in cold water using the shaker provided, add it to a large bowl then heat it to the desired temperature in a microwave. 

Mixing the KicStart™ Shakes

First add 200 ml of cold water to a blender or  the large shaker provided then add the sachet of KicStart™ powder to the water.

When using the shaker, seal the lid securely and hold firmly with two hands (one hand on the lid and one hand on the bottom of the shaker). You may like to wrap the shaker in a cloth while shaking to prevent any drips. After shaking, the consistency of the shake should be smooth and slighty frothy. Pour the shake into a large glass and drink within a few minutes.

VLCD Adverse Effects

Some people who use a VLCD have reported minor side effects such as fatigue, constipation, nausea and diarrhoea, but these conditions usually improve within a few weeks and rarely prevent patients from completing the program. A fibre supplement can be used if constipation becomes a problem.
